Loving the new Lemmy Explorer block list filtering option, but realized that as I can't block instances that the instance I'm on defederates with already, communities from those instances still appear in Lemmy Explorer despite not being able to interact with them. Could the block list filter also be used to filter out communities from defederated instances?
Thanks for the recommendation! Can't remember why I hadn't tried Organic Maps when testing alternative options, but already glad to see the Gulf of Mexico keeping its proper name. Going on a roadtrip in a few days, so I'll get a chance to properly test it out then. 👍
Switched from Google Maps to Apple Maps a couple months ago, and I'd like to Switch to an alternative that doesn't implement fascist place names, but navigation with toll road avoidance unfortunately doesn't seem to be a common feature 😕
Yet they're fine with being on Reddit, which profits from selling the rights to that content for use with LLMs...
Thanks for the reply! Being on an instance without Lemmy Federate integration, the benefits of a filtered Lemmy Explorer view would be extremely useful to help in finding niche instances.
People will only see it if someone from their instance is subscribed to that community though, so even popular posts don't necessarily reach the All feed.
Alrighty; thanks for the reply 👍
It's like China banning Winnie the Pooh for hurting Xi's feelings...
I think the Lego games would work well due to their relatively simple 3D platforming gameplay and two-player, drop-in-drop-out multiplayer across most of the games. The Skywalker Saga is one of the most recent ones, though the older ones are often available for $5 each and are fun, if a bit repetitive. Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Harry Potter are the ones I grew up with, and are therefore among my favorites, but there's over a dozen of them in all.
For something a bit more original, Lego City Undercover also has the typical Lego multiplayer gameplay, along with an original plot with lots of humor tossed in.
Tragic irony, when it's republicans that are a measles, tuberculosis, and covid risk...
Conversely, for iOS I think Arctic is among the better options; versus the standard compact feed view, it has a 'headline' feed view that makes scrolling through one's All feed take less time.
What an isolationist asshole.
