No, it's still very easy to vilify anyone willing to do that. You could resort to back alley prostitution, selling body parts, or crime before you were economically "forced" to join the gestapo.

NYT loves using the passive voice to downplay killings by the powerful. Who can say how they died or who is responsible? Let's not dwell on trivialities.
Ok.
When the fascist leader is trying to censor history at the national history museum, that's the battle to fight.
I'm not sure if it was changed in the intervening time, but I'm writing this comment with Voyager.
Edit: Voyager stopped working after this comment.
They seem kind of like bastards.
Palantir is a data snooping founded by Peter Thiel and tightly associated with ICE, the US military, and the Trump administration.
Nevermind the sham that is Open AI's supposed purpose, you want Palantir to succeed??
Did you bring her up in a ml or hexbear community? Lemmy isn't a monolith and there are some people in it hell-bent to call even AOC a liberal.
The absolute nicest interpretation I have for this is that Trump knew what Epstein did and was upset that he'd recruit girls at his club. But that means he knew and didn't care before that. And didn't say anything after.
Yeah, it's (usually) not sex work, but I'm 100% sure Trump was staffing his spa with sexual appeal in mind.
And if not he'd have no reason to even care that a teenager took a different job. No one gets upset about a teenager being poached because they were so good at doing whatever menial task you entrusted to them.
I don't expect it, but it is something that good employers do. When you are taking people's time for a business purpose (i.e., having them answer questions to inform you about whether they want to hire them), the business should pay. It's an initial sign of respect to someone you may soon be asking to trust that you as a business are a good place to invest their working life and aren't going to try to steal your time and labor.
