““Civility has kind of disappeared,” she said. “Even in our party, and that’s sad.””

Lady, you realize your party did a fucking coup? Fuck off.

Literally US doctrine since WWII. Germans whole strategy in the Battle of the Bulge was to attack while it was cloudy out, because if the sky was clear they were fucked. They got fucked as soon as the clouds cleared.

I’m sure there is… but I wing it. I just take off whatever is making the plant too bushy. Sometimes I’ve taken off whole vines.

I have an olive tree and that jasmine that I bring in and out. In the fall I let them both stay out over night for a couple hard freezes and they are fine with it. I think that probably kills the bugs. But they’ve never been an issue.

I’m also pretty far north. I just rotate it in the pot. It stays in a sunny window in the winter, and tied to a railing on the deck during the rest of the year. It tends to suffer a bit in winter. A few leaves fall off and whatnot. But it blooms every year and fills its trellis nicely. I need to aggressively prune it once a year.

I’ve had a jasmine for 20 years now in a pot. Very resilient plants. Also great for making cuttings to give away.

As an American, I’d probably die if I had to see all of those tulips.

The best game of all time: dungeon crawl stone soup. Open source dungeon crawler that has been developed for 20 years. It is free and you can play in your browser. And since deaths are permanent, it is an easy game to walk away from since game sessions tend to be short (because it is easy to die).

Another classic is Dwarf Fortress.

I realize this is from months ago, but years ago I listened to the history of Rome while it was being created. After it was done I was still wanting more Rome history and I found 12 Byzantine Rulers. Great show that summarizes the eastern empire well.
