The dream is a handheld that can output 240p. Preferably with the ability to easily output it via HDMI so I can use an HDMI to Component adapter instead of Composite like most handhelds that do have support for TV Out do.

Working now for me.
Seems like a lot of people think this part of the fediverse is just lemmy.
I'd consider the new game to be retro-style, similar in vein to "boomer shooters", while I'd consider the rerelease to be a retro game on a modern platform.
Same with emulation on PC, it's a retro game on a modern platform. Emulation handhelds is where things get iffy though, I'd consider a Linux based handheld such as the Anbernic RG35XX to be a retro handheld despite being pretty new, while an Android (yes, I know it's a heavily modified Linux) handheld such as the Retroid Pocket would be retro games on a modern platform.
Anything that released before I was born :D
In all seriousness though, any console where you could play the majority of the games and their content without an internet connection. So Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, with arguments for the Wii and DS.
Oh, I'm well aware lol. Just having a bit of a chuckle at the irony .
Originally built my PC because I heard reputable rumours of Destiny 2 releasing on PC. Already had an ok laptop that was showing it's age, but built a PC with an i3-4170, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 3GB. A year after that I upgraded to a Ryzen 5 1600 because dual core in 2017 lul.
Hands, by virtue of being the things doing the scrubbing, should be red.
Absolutely wonderful. I love looking at art on Discord, opening the tweet to get the high res pic to save (Yes, I'm aware of adding ?format=jpg&name=large at the end of the URL, already had to do it for some pics), then being blocked. Or trying to see some sports news, then being blocked again.
It'll run pretty damn well. I've got pop on my min spec 2013 Macbook Pro, and, while it is slow at times, that's mainly because I've been too lazy to open it up and swap drives.
Same with Kbin.
Just curious, does this include posts from kbin users to lemmy communities? I'd imagine it doesn't count posts to kbin magazines, since kbin is a different software altogether (maybe posts from lemmy users to kbin magazines count).
