So am I , and I'm sure you've heard the "I didn't kill any animals, the farms did" or "the meat at the store is already killed" or "I'll go vegan when eating meat is illegal" and I'm not sure how you reconcile the two.

Not to take away from your overall point, but this isn't strictly true. Evolution doesn't favor the best, it favors the cheapest/laziest adaptation that works. And you can't compare different species across different niches like that anyways.

I only gave more info on how LLMs work since what you were describing were Marcov chains. I wasn't saying you were wrong with the thrust of your comment, just the details on how they work.
