Fantastic series by Bismuth! SM64 is one of my favorite games of all time, and the amount of effort Bismuth and his collaborators put into this series is incredible. Each video is full of charts and demonstrations that make very complex processes simple enough to follow along. There is also a condensed version if an 8 part series feels like too much.

Like many others I am currently playing Starfield. It is a lot of fun, but it also has many flaws. My partner asked why I'm playing it so much if I have so many complaints and I explained that there really is no alternative for this sort of game. If you want a first person game with individual cities full of unique NPCs you can interact with your only options are Bethesda games or Outer Worlds. Skyrim came out over a decade ago, its still my favorite game of all time, and I still play it frequently, and I really hoped it would have more copycats.

I would compare it to being a fan of professional football, but not being a fan of the NFL. There really isn't anywhere else to go. If you want to watch, they are the only game in town. I'm really hopeful with how long it has been since the last ESO that we might start to see some competitors in this space. There are a few that seem promising. Such as Avowed and The Bloodline, but until those drop I will be playing Starfield.

I think its awesome devs are still releasing games for retro consoles. NES is my favorite sytem and I think these games look fantastic.

There are many fantastic gaming communities on Lemmy, but the general ones seems to be focused on game release news and not so much generic gamer posts. Starfield is a massive game with lots of systems and a massive amount of area to cover. I thought it would be nice to share useful information as a community. So what is your secret best spot to find medpacks? What skill was more useful than you thought? What thing did you not learn about until you were 15 hours in, that you wished you learned a lot sooner?

I didn't join either "church" at character creation as I wanted to explore both before choosing. However it looks like there is no way to join in game? I have a big interest in religions created in media and I might restart the game before I miss out. On xbox so mods won't save me. Internet doesn't seem to have a clear answer. Has anyone found a way to join or redo traits?
