I went to a summer camp for about a decade streak in the upper midwest and it was peppered with them, they stick on the walls outside and just hang there. They're super chill and you can pick them up without much worry, as a kid I'd pick them up by the wings and put them on the back of my hand, and they just chilled unless you really shook them off or just put them somewhere else. They don't really care. They just kinda vibe

It's really great. My personal favorite game of 2024 thus far, narrowly beating out Balatro 
The politics of the game are all-but-explicitly socialist. I don't want to spoil anything or even any of the little bits because I was genuinely caught off-guard in a good way and don't want to deny that to others so you're just going to have to trust me here?
Switch performance is jank–no two ways about it. It's definitely unoptimized. They seem to have fixed the game-breaking/softlocking glitches on it (as I am currently making a friend couch-play it for my entertainment), but you are going to notice lag, I'm not going to sugarcoat it.

We’ve been around for three years on a lemmy fork before federation. The lack of federation for years as well as the place we splintered off from (/r/chapotraphouse) already having a unique microculture within Reddit has given this instance, in my opinion, a distinct culture compared to general-purpose and even other hobbyist instances.
Regarding specifics, Hexbear is a vehemently queer-friendly/intersectional anti-sectarian socialist instance. Check us out

I don't know why this take hits me so hard. It's so utterly comical in my brain. It's such a bizarre idea to me that we're going to be bleeding the users who have been here when it was literally only hexbear after a week or two of federation because, what, do they think their posting power is going to sway people over there? This is one of the least controversial site decisions to have happened over on this side of the coin. The idea of this being a phenomenon that will happen with multiple, let alone even one of our pre-federation users is so utterly incompatible with my mental model of Hexbear that I can't fucking get over it. It's fucking fascinating 
if you are one of these people planning to exodus to blahaj full-time please let me know because it’s too good of a bit to keep to yourself
