I am kinda conflicted on including the portraits in the fic proper, as my feelings on AI art are mixed already, I don’t want to open up the use of it as a vector of harassment when I publish it because I do legitimately fear that even though I believe this use case to be relatively innocuous, and I don’t have the budget to commission proper portraits especially for a fanfic. On the other hand, I just think they’re neat 
sticking with my 
-centric 'Disco Gensokyo' fanfic idea because I really like the concept I've built in my head which has me doing a crash course cram session on as much touhou lore as I can and it just hasn't yet clicked for me

like AI really shines when you embrace its uncanny, psychedelic nature. it's really good when you know where to dictate specification and where to let the machine fill in the gaps. its like a modular synth. these motherfuckers are effectively trying to hook up a midi keyboard to a modular synth and are very not mad that they can't make catchy pop tunes with it that match the level of deliberate human engineering. the whole bit is to surrender yourself to the flow. embrace the aleatoric nature of it. these motherfuckers know nothing about art.
