Witness reports and police reports say that she attacked them unprovoked with mace and a knife:

Activists have rallied around a transgender woman charged with aggravated assault in Flagstaff. They allege she was defending herself from a violent attack, but police reports and witness accounts say her actions were unprovoked.

Epona Rose was arrested on August 10 after police say she sprayed two men with mace, physically assaulted at least one and threatened another with a knife in Heritage Square in Downtown Flagstaff.

Both men denied doing anything to provoke Rose and a witness also confirmed their account. One victim told police he did not see anyone touch Rose inappropriately nor comment on her gender.

Yeah I thought that might have been what you were thinking of. I would think that will play part in some further "verified" tick system for the twitter blue subscribers if they ever bring it in.

TBH I wish that on all social media like Twitter/Facebook you were required to prove your identity and have your real name. It would (hopefully) make people a bit more responsible in their actions and stop a lot of the terrible things people write and do.

Twitter doesn’t require real names or any sort of verification btw. Completely anonymous unless you intentionally want to show your real details.

Stalking victims blocking someone doesn’t make them not able to view their posts though, since they can just log out and view them or create a new free account and see them. They need to set their posts to private and not accept follow requests from people that they haven’t verified are who they say they are, that’s the only way.

The one on store policies is wrong. The section people point to is actually about developers of the app having the ability to block specific users from using the app.

[–] Whirlybird@aussie.zone 1 points 2 years ago

Exactly. If someone wants to see your public tweets, they will no matter how blocked they are. It’s a mountain out of a mole hill. When account creation is free and without restriction people will abuse it.

As long as mute exists that’s all that’s needed.

The “if blocking is removed the app will be in violation of play store and App Store policies” is 100% wrong though, I’m surprised that note hasn’t been removed.

People incorrectly saw the section saying that the developers of the app have to have a way to block certain users from using the app - like say users that have been account banned by google/apple - as saying that users have to be able to block other users.

Yep if you count a tick as yes you need to count a cross as no. Super dodgy from the Yes side to try and get both as a yes.

I do, but 5% is not relatively small in any meaning of the word when it comes to things that contribute to climate change.

It might feel good to pretend you don’t have to change your lifestyle

There's really not much that the every man can do though. Driving an electric vehicle does nothing. I have solar already but our power companies and government have made them basically pointless with battery systems being prohibitively expensive. It's businesses and rich people doing the heavy lifting of climate damage.

Also not really sure why you say aviation has a relatively negligible impact when your own link says otherwise?

Aviation is widely known for its carbon footprint, with the industry contributing 2.5% to the global CO₂ burden. While some may argue that this pales in comparison with other sectors, carbon is only responsible for a third of aviation’s full climate impact. Non-CO₂ emissions (mainly NOₓ and ice trails made from aircraft water vapour) make up the remaining two-thirds.

Taking all aircraft emissions into account, flying is responsible for around 5% of human-induced climate change.

1/20th of ALL human induced climate change isn't "relatively negligible".

Get the billionaires and millionaires to stop taking thousands of private jet trips every day and the problem is basically solved. That won't happen though because they want everyone else to reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining their globe trotting ways.
