This wasn’t “progress or not” though, that’s ridiculous and sore loser talk. Another toothless advisory panel that will be ignored isn’t “progress”.

Real progress would be something like guaranteeing some new seats at the senate to go with the “voice”. Give them an actual voice that gets to decide on things that affect their community. Giving them a “voice” that can and will be ignored will change nothing for the better.

It has nothing to do with anyone becoming “conservative”. Another advisory board would change nothing when the ones we already have are ignored and aren’t working.

60% of the country voted for gay marriage, a far more “liberal”/“progressive” thing than the voice, so saying we’re getting more “conservative” makes no sense. The fact is that the actual progressive people recognize that this was all grandstand virtue signalling, and we want more than that. “It’s better than nothing” is not a valid reason to change our constitution. How about actually doing something meaningful as a starting point instead?

Congrats on the job. Your numbers don’t add up though - total of 45 jobs applications but 46 responses.

Granted, Plex sucks nowadays

In what way(s)?

One of the things that really put me off Kodi (as a long time user as well, I also had an XBMC xbox) was the mentality of "it shouldn't be easy, there shouldn't be any setup wizards. It needs to be difficult to configure and get working because we're l33t haxors!" in so many kodi forums and affiliated people. They wanted it to be hard to set up and use because it made them feel smart, it was absolutely ridiculous.

As soon as Plex got their UI to a design I liked I jumped ship and haven't looked back.

In what way? Curious because I’ve never had any issues with plex on my local network.

Because some people prefer plex and being a (optionally) paid product it will very likely receive more and better updates.

Are you talking about on mobile? I don’t think people are hosting kodi and their content on their phones.

You don’t need to have local copies of all your media with kodi. A NAS works just fine.

Plex is just easier, especially when using multiple devices to watch content and/or sharing content with friends and family. I used to be all in on kodi over Plex, but Plex improved and improved and improved and is a better product imo.

Bit misleading - they were made in a place that doesn’t have a residential building permit. They’re not “not up to code” in the way that the headline makes out.

The department said the pods, situated in Mint Plaza, were illegally installed without a residential building permit.

Didn’t they only just announce like last year that they’d signed a deal to use snapdragon SoCs for the next 5 years or so for flagships worldwide while they start work on their revamp of Exynos? To only go 1 year of snapdragon would be odd.

Hopefully this new exynos is great, as snapdragon being the only good option is not good for the industry.
