Um actually I'm gonna have to disagree with your criticism RE: Starmer's endorsement of nuclear first strikes; I'd be far more concerned about a potential PM who would not be willing to make it clear that we have these weapons, and if the event were to arise, we will use them. He's not saying "If I was PM, we'd use them next week." - he's just understanding of the fact that the world isn't idealistic, it's realistic, and that includes having the willingness to draw your sword in response to a sword being drawn upon you. How else will we keep rogue nations like Iran and North Korea in check?

It's true although the weird braying of reactionary hogs for nuclear armageddon still makes me uneasy. The whole thing is doubly stupid in Britain because we're such a minor player in terms of Nukes anyway, pretty sure we straight up need America's permission to launch any of them.
