This is all just a steaming pile of bullshit.

The current US Supreme Court hands Trump victories without explaining them because the explanation is quite simply that the conservative majority is wholly and completely corrupt and compromised. There is no legitimate justification for their decisions - neither existing law, precedent nor the Constitution could possibly be successfully invoked to justify any of them, and trying would just call unwanted attention to that fact, so they don't even bother trying.

Every single person on the planet just happened to be born in some particular place, and every place has some particular set of people who at some point drew some arbitrary lines and decreed that the area within the lines was a country and gave it a name.

The idea that happening to have been born within the confines of one arbitrary set of lines rather than another is something of which to be proud is blatantly stupid.

And meanwhile, their hero president is a rapist who was best friends with and a regular guest of the most high profile child sex abuser and procurer in American history.

I would think that much cognitive dissonance would actually be painful.

Maybe it is, and that helps explain their constant misdirected seething rage.

My assumption is simply that they're such complete losers - such an awful combination of ignorant, angry and stupid - that being white and heterosexual are literally the only things they have going for them - that they have nothing of any actual value to offer to anyone.

And that's why they rage against "DEI" and "woke" and "race theory" and so on - because if they were to lose the built-in cachet that comes from being white and heterosexual, they'd have nothing at all.

Because yes - if they had anything at all of any value to offer anyone, they could focus on that instead, and pursue it with the built-in advantages of being white and heterosexual. That they don't pretty strongly indicates that they can't.

This must be such a proud day for the Republicans - the moment they openly came out in support of bribery.

So presumably the "hate speech manager's" job is to determine which specific forms of "hate speech" will or will not be allowed - to make sure that only the "right" kinds of hate speech stay up.

So, for instance, lukewarm criticism of current Israeli government policies will be prohibited but calling for the mass murder of Arabs will be allowed.

An army of psychopaths.

Oh yeah - Myst required lots of notes, because there were things that you'd learn at one point that were clues to some puzzle somewhere else. And yeah - just in general you needed to keep notes, because the games didn't record hardly anything.

And none of the early RPGs generated maps - if you wanted a map, you had to draw it yourself.

I still make video game notes but they're mostly just reminders - things like "500 wood for Robin" or "need Nordic helmet for mannequin at Heljarchen."

She's a current Democrat, and a coward.

That means she's expected to strike a sympathetic humanitarian pose that's immediately rendered meaningless by her craven need to suck up to the pro-Israeli lobbies.

Multiple ones.

I have an open pack of 5x7 file cards - I use them (folded in half) for making to-do lists, shopping lists and the like. I have a shelf that collects unwanted printer paper - misprints, test pages and the like - for doodling, and I have a stack of legal pads and graph paper pads for stuff I want to hang onto (the graph paper pad in particular is for notes and such about video games, and I've been doing that since the days of having to draw my own dungeon maps).

I've been predicting this for a couple of years now.

It goes hand-in-hand with prison privatization and the increased corporate use of prison slave labor. The goal is essentially to bring back Victorian workhouses while collecting kickbacks.

Anyone else out there (still) playing NFS ProStreet?

It's sort of my ultimate backup game - when I finish one playthrough, I just start another, so I always have one going, and if nothing else really grabs my attention or I'm just looking to kill a bit of time, that's what I play.
