Fuck plastic straws. I also don't want to use the paper straws because they are often held together with glues/adhesives. As someone that worked briefly in chemical engineering making adhesives for chip components, resistors, and thermal paste, I don't want what's holding the paper straws in my body. Now I just sip straight from the cup, without a straw.

NY state passed a law protecting doctors from this sort of thing, (look up shield laws.) NY clerk follows state law; for anyone that needed a TL;DR

We have those in America already, they are called co-ops. This is the one in my area: https://www.honestweight.coop/ and https://www.niskayunaco-op.com/ . Mamdani's proposal isn't bold, it's already been done, and there is no reason why they can't be implemented in NYC.

Split Fiction looked like it was going to be a good game. My girlfriend wanted us to get a copy and play it together. I told her I would not buy a copy of this nor play it because, EA. I told her I'm not the boss of her money, and she can do what she wants. I still mourn the death of maixs and simcity.

I live in Albany, NY. I commute on an eBike, in the road, with a helment and follow the traffic laws. My bike even has brake lights and turn signals. Now that school is out, I'm seeing kids and teens riding eBikes and eScooters without protective gear, out in the road not following traffic law at all. I've had a few near misses where I almost hit them on my eBike because they are running red lights. It pisses me off so much because they aren't just endangering themselves, they are endangering me. A part of me wants regulation, but the other part of me knows that regulation is just going to increase the cost of using small, speed capped eVehicles. (Many of these scooters and bikes have motors where the top speed is 20-30 MPH.) I am not stopping to administer aide to anyone hurt riding an eVehicle that openly breaks traffic law.
