It's read only and it doesn't give you access to the original comments. But it works really well for stuff like news, images, etc... where the discussion is mostly not the important part.

A good idea is to create discussions on the lemmy side. What I would do is cross-post it or post it to native lemmy communities and then we can have the discussions there. For example, for news articles and stuff like that.

Yeah, it might be a just a matter of weeks, but I agree that it eases the transition.

Especially with yiff / furry images that weren't created by OP on reddit but an artist, I believe there's a strong moral case that we should not care whether or not reddit profits from an artist's content.

In the end we're essentially just using lemmy as any other RSS reader.

That should be fun. Maybe pvp could consist of gathering hundreds of mobs and dropping them on the other player

Well, not necessarily ultra famous people, but anyone who has a story to share regarding the Reddit fiasco. For example third party app developer. Maybe the Sync developer who confirmed a Lemmy app is in the works

Not at all. Have you seen his latest videos? He said he wouldn't post post there anymore

[–] Wander@yiffit.net 3 points 2 years ago

I didn't know there was a difference

You don't have your post deleted for forgetting a minor rule and there's a chance that your post will be seen instead of hidden under countless new posts.

Woah... This brings back memories from when I was a noob trying out Suse and there were no packet managers and I was constantly dual booting widows to know which rpm packages to download and install manually, only to realize that it had dependencies.

Not likely. try searching [!rpg@ttrpg.network](/c/rpg@ttrpg.network) WITH exclamation mark and no filters in the search settings. Give it 5 secs even if it says no results. Refresh if still nothing.

Why not? What error do you get?
