Sanna Marin was not supposed to be the prime minister, but the old white guy fucked up so bad he had to resign after half a year and they had to switch in a hurry. The last government was a sum of multiple coincidences.
The Finns party coming in power has been on the cards for a decade. Actually they have been for a while before, but the moderates, including the party founder, chosen as the ministers split off when people running the current party line were elected to run the party. This time the National Coalition decided to take the risk again with the finns party, so they wouldn't have to compromise their economic policies with the leftist parties and the risk seems to have backfired more quickly and worse they anticipated.

Eneasz Brodski has an excellent audio version of this. After a rough start the audio quality gets a lot better and there are actually different readers for the characters. https://hpmorpodcast.com/
I did enjoy The Methods of Rationality, but I think it wanders in to territory of intellectual masturbation in the hypercompetence of the main character, even though it tries to justify it, and wouldn't recommend without reservations.
If you enjoyed this you should definitely check out Mother of Learning by Domagoj Kurmaic (aka nobody103).
I own LotR and have read it. It basically defined the fantasy genre as we know it and has also inspired a lot not directly derived from it. But how it is written it didn't click with me and reading it felt a bit of a chore and I have never felt revisiting the book.
The smallest circle should be half way out, because a lot gets misunderstood.
