Also, I hate the trend of content such as ships releasing as a paid DLC, then later as an in-game grind. In the olden days, the ships were free in games like Elite. The only thing that cost money was actual DLC expansions. That trend was probably spearheaded by star citizen devs :p

The hiplok d1000 is a couple hundred bucks, but it takes at least 10 cutting discs to get through, and produces devastating ceramic dust which is sure to give any bike thief a terrible case of mesothelioma. If you are worried about your bike, I'd get one of those. You might also want to see if your city participates in a bike locker program, or summer bike valet services. Multiple cities in the Pacific Northwest do this, in the US and Canada.

It's amazing here, the bike railtrails around here are so heavily used that it displaces dozens or hundreds of cars in a few city blocks. It's amazing that despite the overwhelming bike traffic (not to mention tons of runners and dogwalkers), our city has yet to dedicate more public roads to something other than purely private vehicles. If the city even just gave 20 total roads to bikes and buses, people could move much more freely throughout the city, without gridlock on every block.

That's actually a bug in the current build, and it can be triggered by accident as it's quite the bug.

Yeah, weather is shifting a lot. Methane is really bad to build as any leaks (and they do leak) release gas that accelerates climate change way faster than carbon. Nuclear is a reliable source for a long time. I suspect that many of the world's hydro dams will become less useful as things deteriorate. Perhaps some can be replaced by geothermal, or solar/wind/battery, but for places that are in geographically disadvantaged locations, nuclear is a great option.

Nuclear helps when you have a very bad drought and very little wind for a long time. Bad doldrums, or perhaps big fires changing wind patterns during a hot summer. Certain parts of the world may need to rethink certain forms of power generation as the climate begins to change at an accelerated pace. Our reservoirs and dams in western Canada and the western US are already below historic averages, and we've used hydro for decades and decades.

Nuclear is a very consistent, base load source. Expensive, but very reliable, and most importantly, cleaner and safer than coal or methane ("natural gas") generators in the event you need to meet extraordinary demand all of a sudden.

The library getting a new wing for free and a bunch of morons parting ways with their money sounds pretty great to me, if it happened.

They can even name the new LGBT/Jewish/black history book wing in his honor from his "generous donation" to the library, lol.

Yes. My meat thermometer is a fire and forget type where it automatically shuts off the heat once it reaches a certain temperature or preconfigured meat setting. It makes the air fryer a wonderful appliance when working on other foods simultaneously. Plus, I don't have to worry about unsafe temps, or overcooked food.
