Ad and tracker blocking at the DNS level is a solid way to improve privacy right? Whether it be using your VPN's DNS or something like NextDNS.

They have reduced connections to Google domains substantially in the last year. Many are now proxied through their own servers now.

It's is almost always a lot easier to pay less for a superior product that is less ethical and environmentally friendly.

Are you sure AOSP 12 built this feature in? I'm on GrapheneOS on Pixel 7 and there is no such option in battery settings.
