It'll never happen, centralised means stable. Just check out what this company called Google have built!

Fortunately, on Mastodon at least, you can set a per person ignore/hide on boosts. Very helpful if they do good posts but are generally spammy with boosts.

Imgur have quite recently blocked my VPN (privately hosted, not mainstream). They don't like non-domestic IPs accessing their service it appears. I fear the only way to fix this is not to attempt to pull and cache imgur images :(

Just finished watching it. Absolutely fantastic television. The last episode has me so tense I'm actually shaking.

So well shot, the music thoughout. The way it builds tention. chefs kiss

Ernest has it correct. Thumbnails now show the full image when before it was doing of cropping and scaling and resulting in things being distorted or just straight missing.

Edit. Scratch that, there's some cropping happening that shouldn't be. A lot of time was spent to make sure images retained their original aspect ratio but it looks like something has gone screwy with the thumbnail service.

Yeah. I think it's just a temp things as various servers catch up.

See, if I hadn't seen that joke already I would have upvoted 😁

It's like a very comfortable pair of slippers at this point. On PHP8 and with a decent framework (optional) like Symfony (kbin uses that) or Laravel (opinionated, but puts the R in RAD) I can knock well tested code out far faster than I can with anything else.

I also like a bit of Go or Node but I'm always drawn back to PHP.

The rotation thing was fixed but typically phones only update the PWA manifests every now and then. Quick and easy win would be to reinstall it. That'll force a fetch.

Things I'm particularly proud of include the new language filtering setting, the lnf changes (compact mode on a tablet feels niiice) and the markdown improvements - hopefully everyones community links will work now!
