The last I heard before this article, the dog helped lead them to the kids. But now that it's revealed that he actually accompanied them for a time, enough to make an impression and show up in their cute kids drawings, they have to make this a movie. It's got everything.

I hope the happy ending keeps up and the authorities find the dog and the kids end up with a family member who's well deserving and can help them through what they've been through.

Somehow this heartwarming story has become even more heartwarming. That poor dog, those poor kids 😭

That one was missing a bunch of instances and communities for some reason, too. I'm glad we've got this new way to look at everything.

Not everyone has the time or inclination to moderate those communities they make, though. That's the only thing that's preventing me from making a bunch of the old communities I miss. I hope some of the big mods move over here and keep doing it. I miss AITA, some DnD and RPG subs, and some other fun story subs. I also prefer my movie and TV communities split up instead of in one mega community like in !moviesandtv@lemmy.film.

My first camping experiences as a kid were touch and go lol. I was scared of bears, but also loved animals. I liked trees and fresh air, but also got super sick on one of my first camping trips that soured nature for me.

I think it was being older and stuck in classrooms and offices that have made me appreciate hiking and camping again. We are so disconnected from nature now in the modern, adult business wold that it can feel great to just to be around it a little.

I'm still definitely a beginner at the camping and hiking stuff, though. I'm hoping to do it more but my SO has a lot of health issues that make it difficult and anxiety about me not being contactable, so it has to be short trips.

Same lol. But I'm glad it send to be working. I'm getting used to this slowly but surely.

And it seems to be improving fast enough, and I'll try to contribute soon, too, once I get used to how this all works.

I've had the same problem from a different instance, so that's got to be it. Hopefully they figure it out soon.

No idea, I didn't make it. Probably about a week old if I'd guess. I am visiting and subbing to other instances. The All feed seems to be working okay, too. It's federated as far as I can tell, but still doesn't appear in that Lemmy Community Browser site: https://browse.feddit.de/

Oh ya, other than that, I've actually been very pleased with Jerboa, once I lowered the font size a bit and put it in list view to condense things more into an RIF - like view.

I think something like multireddit would fix that. I'm not sure if that's something that can be implemented from the app or browser level or is related to Lemmy and Activity Pub, but that would be great. I used that function a lot to create dashboards of associated subreddits.

It's tough to find new communities on Jerboa, though. It doesn't seem to have the capability to search for them. I keep having to go to the browser to do that.
