When I'm stressed, I like to soak a washing cloth in hot water and then press it on my face with both hands, covering eyes and nose and slowly and deeply breathe through it. I don't know why I find almost waterboarding myself comforting but it's incredibly relaxing.
Also, lying on the floor in the middle of my apartment.

I was thinking the same. If you really committed to the theme and added some decorations and plants, it could actually be kinda charming. The chairs would still be uncomfortable though.

Ich hab mich bisher nicht getraut, das tatsächlich zu tun, weil ich Angst um mein Fahrrad hab.

(Wenn jemand mein Rad bewegt ohne dass ich es vorher entsperrt hab, geht ein lauter Alarm los und ich bekomme eine Push-Nachricht aufs Handy. Das hat bisher jeden abgeschreckt.)

Das ist natürlich eine Option. Was benutzt du da dafür?

Man muss gar nicht so weit gehen. Einfach mal ein paar Fahrräder auf einen Parkplatz stellen. Oder gleich auf die Straße, wie es die Autos ja auch machen.

Klassiker. Bei mir gibt's eine große Kreuzung, bei der aus einer Richtung kommend kurz davor ein "für Fahrräder verboten" Schild ist. Da ist nur die Straße und der Gehweg, kein Fahrradweg, keine Seitenstraße. Weiß bis heute nicht, was man da offiziell machen soll. Sich spontan in Luft auflösen? Seitlich auf den Gehweg hüpfen und in der Luft absteigen? (Die meisten Fahrradfahrer ignorieren es einfach und werden so zu bösen Fahrradfahrern, die sich nicht an Schilder halten)

Well, it depends... Germany as one country isn't very old. So the roots of the education system are certainly older than the country. But I'm not sure which parts should be included in this calculation. The education system was very different in different states that are now part of Germany. Then there are Universities that were (at least partly) German back in the day but are not located in today's Germany. I'm sure the Romans had schools when they hung out here but that's probably a bit of a stretch. But where exactly are we supposed to draw the line?

Oder halt Leute, die zusätzliche Fahrten machen, auf die sie vorher verzichtet hatten, weil sie es sich nicht leisten konnten. Aber wo kommen wir denn da hin, wenn der Pöbel plötzlich jederzeit hin kann, wo er will? Die sollen mal schön in ihren Slums bleiben!

Die Lampen in meiner Wohnung im Flur und im Bad über dem Spiegel sind ziemlich sicher seit Anfang an in der Wohnung. Das wäre dann so späte 60er, frühe 70er. Wobei die Leuchtmittel natürlich nicht mehr original sind.
