From age and ID restrictions on the Internet, to charging rappers with “terrorism,” the U.K. is demolishing the most basic civil liberties. If we let them, U.S. leaders may be close behind.

Not only is the UK's Online Safety Act a privacy nightmare censoring adult and LGBTQ+ content, it's also censoring information about sexual education, drug addiction support, abuse support, news of wars and protests, and more, especially for young people. And it won't just stop there as other countries like Australia, Ireland, and many US states are implementing similar laws.

Isn't being against war and genocide the same as anti-imperialism? I hate how saying "War is bad" has become so controversial and extremist.

Weird AI image. The signature at the bottom left and what appears to be a police car don't seem to make sense. But yeah, fuck those greedy CEOs.

The Tale of Princess Kaguya is also my favorite! I especially love its painted watercolor art style. Made me cry a lot too 😅

I've mostly given up on social interaction and making friends. I guess that's just how living with autism goes.

Thanks for making me imagine bees and other insects on uncut grass

I've been trying to use Lemmy more for general and political content but I still use Reddit for niche fandoms and hobbies.

I was gonna say the same. I'd also like to add that forcefully confining, isolating, and drugging people for being suicidal is immoral and a waste of resources too. Involuntary commitment for people who don't harm others should be illegal.
