Tangentially related: I recently learned that there are tools for handling dotfiles such as chezmoi and yadm. I would suppose that after spending some time on backing up the dotfiles that matter one can purge the remainders without much issue. I also remember some tool that was made for the purpose of cleaning $HOME, but can not recall its name (if anyone knows please let me know).

No, the comment I replied to was removed. See my message for context.

Looked through your comments and seems you are just not very bright. Funny you play that nationalist shit while at the same time being a disgrace to your own nation.

In the absence of an answer I would just like to remind you that dbzer0 seems to not be the place for you. Maybe fascists cannot read very well, but on the signup screen it says explicitly:

Note that this is an anarchist server. If you start promoting right-wing rhetoric, expect to be banned.

I do not think you should feel very welcome here at all. Maybe just leave Lemmy altogether?

Definitely agree that 7800x3D is better value for gaming. Depending on the games played and choice of GPU, the 7600 could provide an even better value option. The 4090 is the only offering from Nvidia that makes sort of sense IMO (and only if you want to spend a lot for the best) with 7900 xtx > 7900 > 7800 the better choices in order of higher to lower performance and lower to higher value.

That being said, all the components are way overkill for 60 fps at 1080p. If you are not going to capitalize on the performance with a higher framerate and resolution monitor, there really is not a need for this tier of components at all. A used B550/B450 board and a 7600 could easily drive modern gamed with lower settings at 60fps/1080p at a fraction of the price.

I might be a little confused here... Are you calling yourself a fascist?

Imagine saying ideologies are too simplistic and ridiculous and then coming up with: "How about we just make lots of smol countries big?".

Didn't know that it was feasible to create a radiation field by running a large motor. Not that I doubt you, but if you have a source I would be very happy to read more about it.

For real, resource extraction is a big one. Finding ice means they can make, besides water, oxygen and rocket fuel. Not to mention that shelters for radiation are incredibly hard to make without a huge amount of mass, which we cannot efficiently get into orbit without a space elevator. Hence being able to extract it from the location of the colony, say dig into the ground or build thick walls with bricks made from soil, is necessary for long term survival of the inhabitants. I think it is cool that due to these reasons having air balloons over Venus might even be a better option due to it having a protective atmosphere.

I still hoard and often just die on my pile of loot :(

Having OS-agnostic options for BIOS updates is also kind of nice. I don't know if this is the norm, but I can do it painless on my Asus motherboard.

Who uses Google Play to install FOSS apps? F-droid is the way to go and it doesn't do the tracking that you need to do that kind of estimate. Also, there is essentially no need for apps when the browser version is so good.
