By estimating the age of the soldiers in the bottom image.

Not sure it is really on point to blame conscripted and indoctrinated kids for the rise of nazism. Rather more prudent to look at the capitalists and regular conservatives who thought marrying fascists would be profitable. Also prudent because it is happening again, and it is not the youth's fault now either.

Ultimately none of this matters once MS based software has won some sort of auction for a contract (thanks Thatcher). Vendor lock-in is problematic in a lot of cases with a multiplier of damage based on the size of the entity wrapped in it's web.

DPKR isn't a dictatorship though. Kim alone holds less power in his country than Biden for instance. Also he was elected. DPKR have some sort of direct democracy that most western world doesn't even dream about.

So I want to start off with recognizing that western media love to blow up American propaganda about how "batshit crazy" Kim Jong-un is. In reality I think development of nukes is to some degree quite sensible as a defensive measurement for DPRK, especially given their stated goal to develop socialism without external involvement.

Formally DPRK looks quite democratic with power derived from the working people's assembly. However, I do not see how formalism really matters if it does not conform with praxis. Having officials elected for life from the same bloodline is to me a big red flag in this regard. The same with things like the assembly only being actually assembled for a few days of the year and statisics regarding voter participation and such.

Well, I would argue that depends very much on the basis of your calculations. Closed source software means public services are held hostage after a company winning a contract. In Norway some Finnish company won a contract for some digital system in the health services and later wanted them to ship all their computers to Finland so that they could update their software. In a paradigm were governments commited to Linux and open source software, there would most likely be a lot less overhead in adapting and developing solutions for Linux.

Personal recommendations are not really advertisements.

Torrents are assumed illegal and discussion of it likewise by confused parent comment.

Always prepare your naps in the following way.

  1. Have water and maybe something sweet nearby to help wake you up.
  2. Have a timer on so you do not sleep too long.
  3. Have a pillow or something allowing you to sit up a little bit afterwards.

Then just schedule some time after your timer goes off where you just ease into the pain of being sentient again. It is also possible to drink coffee before you nap, since the effects of caffeine will not kick in before after you wake up. Regarding the first point it is also really sweet (pun intended) to put say a small piece of chocolate on your tongue and just sit up and close your eyes.

Lastly, you just have to learn what works for you. Falling asleep is also not mandatory for resting well!

I reiterate: All resources are ultimately finite. There is however more than enough for all if extracted sustainably and shared somewhat equally. Under redistribution schemes, the poor stop being poor because having basic needs met increases social mobility. Also production increases because it is in many cases artificially restricted due to the consumers being too poor to buy the things they want and/or need.

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Resources are ultimately finite, regardless of method of extraction. The poor people would get richer faster with better distribution and research supports basic reasoning that the pie would get bigger if distribution was better.
