Eventually yes, and depending on the scenario it deserves the criticism. But this was an attack on a warship that was in open waters. The chance to hit a civilian was very slim.

War will escalate. Total warfare is probably inevitable already. Russia attacked Ukraine. Any retaliation on a military target is acceptable until Russia forfeits everything Ukraine lost and pays reparations to rebuild what they destroyed.

Personally I think this will escalate to NATO eventually. I don’t want it to, but Russia is pushing its boundaries further and scaring a lot of people. At some point someone is going to have to declare war on Russia instead of waiting for Russia to do the same to them. People will die. It’s unfortunate. I wish it wouldn’t happen but I don’t think Russia will let it not happen. And the ball is in Russia’s court because the bar for not killing people is “don’t invade other countries” which is a pretty low bar to set.

Hiroshima was wrong because it attacked civilians. This was an attack on a threatening military site. Those warships they were striking now have potential to kill Ukraine civilians.

Military targets are always fair game in war. Civilian cities are not. Your comparison is not the same

I call bullshit. He sold them fucking internet as a fucking contract with the damn Pentagon. What else would they be used for. If you wanted to use that excuse then you should’ve never made the contract. This was planned from the start. He sold the contract to have greater control over their military operations. This is just the first of a long line of items to come

I am a bit confused. I am seeing this post in random on Artemis.camp. Is this another bug with kbin that the community is showing wrong?

That’s what I was curious about. We have an EV and one of the biggest things is the lithium mining for the batteries being awful for the environment and awful treatment of workers. With EV’s becoming more popular and other types of batteries using lithium then I think lithium recycling is going to be very important to the future and was wondering if anything had been established. Even a close to unused state allowing it to be put back into an EV for 95% capacity is better than just throwing it away.

I will definitely check out the video though

Is there anything we can do with lithium to return it to its unused state? Can it be chemically refined back to its original state or does the electrical usage permanently alter it?

The F-150 lightning pisses me off. They released it for $40k but it sold really well so they raised the prices several times.

It’s a great truck but they want to price it out of being sellable. $40k is right on par with a brand new f-150.

I will say, the mileage isn’t destroyed by the utility bed. I don’t own one but I have spoken to owners. I drove PA to Kentucky on my Niro EV and met someone hauling farming equipment in OH. They were going from FL to Illinois. Said he still gets close to the 300 mile range while hauling so it’s a bit of a hit, but not as much as people think.

That being said, the people who drive a lot every day are the toughest sells and for good reason. People who drive a bit in the city think they drive more than they do. But realistically I think everyone needs to actually check how many miles they drive a week and not just assume how much they drive.

EV’s aren’t ready for a lot of driving jobs but are getting there. And charging is getting better too. My trip to KY had an average charging stop of 10 minutes. Compared to a gas station that’s filling up and running in for a restroom break. It depends on whats in your area but that tech is around

I always tell people the greenest solution when it comes to cars is to just not buy a new one. Use whatever you have until it can’t be used. Then buy a EV, preferably used but sometimes you need new due to availability or mileage.

My city privatized our water and is celebrating “being out of debt” meanwhile taxes are still rising and my water bill was $350 last month. My sewage another $120 through the same company. Not to mention I had to put $9k into “updating” my swear line to be compatible with the new company. And for every month I hadn’t updated I had to pay a $95 fee. I literally paid almost $600 a month a one point for fucking water. Homelessness is going up and people are ditching houses around here cause they can’t afford to live in a shithole but hey the city’s out of debt I guess?

Oh and I missed my payment my 2 days and got shut off last week so I’m expecting a high bill again in “restart” fees even though they didn’t have to send anyone out here for it.

Fuck privatized water

The overwhelming majority of people who work on a computer are stuck with windows.

Another mass majority of people will buy a computer and use whatever is on it. They aren’t tech savvy enough to switch OS’s and they know how to use it because they use it for work.

You want more people on Linux? Get more companies to switch to Linux and get more box stores like Walmart and Best Buy to stock Linux OS’s on PC’s at sale.

Linux growth right now will be slow. It will still happen, but it’s not going to be fast. Steam released the steam deck which runs Linux and the OS saw a MAJOR spike in users. That’s because a device is being sold with Linux stock on it. Now do the same with laptops. Some will say desktops, but desktops aren’t as popular as laptops. It won’t hurt to package with desktops but laptops are key to that.

Oh, I forgot about that one. Tons of fun. I need to rewatch that lol
