Running shoes last 300-500 miles, and can last even longer if you're just walking in them.

Brooks' Gost 15 are my current pair and hold up more than a year.

Not the cost, the easy risk of malnutrition and requirement of supplements for B12, iron, D, iodine and omega-3...

The majority of vegans also have difficulty getting all of their protein/amino acids. I actually use a vegan protein powder due to lactose intolerance that solves this issue, but it's an extra cost not everyone can cover.

Not to mention the elevated risk of Diabetes due to the high carbohydrate diet most vegans have.

Or... You can just eat a chicken breast and solve all of these issues.

I mean those are two reasons it was kept, but there's also:

  • It's based on a historical English law
  • Wild predators
  • Police back then were sometimes days away (and still hours away today in some cases)
  • Hunting for food
  • Shooting the French
  • Shooting the Spanish
  • The revolutionists were tired of raiding garrisons every time they needed armament
  • The founding fathers wanted to keep their war ships

Putting antennas and batteries in mines increases production cost.

The mine would broadcast it's signal, effectively telling the opposing army exactly where it is so they can disarm it. Effectively rendering mines useless, more of a speed bump than anything.

The specific mine used is effective against people, but known to sometimes not even pop car tires. Absolutely worst case scenario: farmers can run a tractor plow over the fields a few times.

If Russia upholds their signing of the Geneva convention they're actually responsible for removing all of their mines after the conflict is over.

But we all know they'll say the mines are either Ukraine's or Wagner's and not remove them.

Tbf Russia's PFM-1 is based off the US' BLU-43. The difference is the US went "Oh wow, this is a really bad situation" and stopped using them half a century ago.

Double tbf: Ukraine also has 5.5 million of these mines themselves.

Owning a personal weapon has been a thing since humans evolved

Twitter was doing fine financially before Musk bought it.

No it wasn't 😂

He just lit a sinking ship on fire, yes it's worse but it was bad before too.
