Apple has really good HR monitoring on their recent models. But, no watch really does as well as a chest strap yet.

The way last used device/service is used is kind of sporadic for me. I have a MacBook, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch. It looks like goes by the last used device and then possibly the last responded notification depending on the device used. It's probably something I should follow up with Apple on. But, i absolutely get sporadic notification behavior when I've had more than one device active in a given time period as well.

Glad it worked out!

From the looks of it you have a management profile that is preventing Google Maps from installing on your watch. Is it company hardware?

People have been submitting this as a feature request for years on Apple's site, and it seems to be going ignored.

Fields is so good and talented but also really, really bad sometimes. The bomb when all they needed was first down to essentially close out the game...then a strip sack from the front side when maybe all they had was a prayer.

The defense decided they didn't need to play the last 5 minutes of the game.

It was just sad at the end.

I love the ultra 2, but you really need to get something out of the extra battery life or GPS accuracy. Aside from that. It is way more resilient. I hit it off things pretty regularly and it still doesn’t have a mark on it.

I've have tried to go back to a few Garmin watches over the last year, basically the 965 and the Venu 3. Neither stuck. I have a AW Ultra 2 at the moment after a recent upgrade. It came down to this:

  1. Workouts are an hour or two of my day and the AW more than covers the metrics I want. When I really want to get into it during a run or hike with a map I will use Workoutdoors.
  2. The other 14+ hours of the day I am walking around, responding to messages, getting calls, or just sitting around. The AW does that more than well enough.
  3. I don't care about charging a watch that lasts me a full day with workouts each night (in my case every 2-3 days.) I don't like wearing my watch to sleep.

Neither Garmin was a disappointment, it's jsut that neither did enough extra to compel me to change back to Garmin. I used to a long time Garmin user, but AW has become my regular the last 2-3 years.
