At the breakup of every empire, many people were afraid of what would happen. But nowadays numerous free nations that were once a part of this or that empire, celebrate their independent development. I think the same will happen with the forthcoming free nations which are still Russian colonies.

EU has helped Ukraine to establish a sound structure of anti-corruption institutions, and this has helped immensely to dismantle the corruption culture. For example, corrupted judges had to resign en masse when they couldn't explain the source of their riches.
Those who are fighting at the frontline and those who help them, become intolerant to corruption. Gradually they replace the old school officials in the state institutions, and this indeed leads to a complete societal revolution.
Getting to Germany is indeed their Holy Grail - a feat which, according to decades of propaganda, their forefathers pulled off on their own.
