I also find it odd that it automatically makes you a boomer. You're not hurting anyone, and you're not the only one doing this on the fediverse. I don't think having a creative commons license at the end of your comment detracts from your comments at all. I agree with the above, keep doing you.

Sounds similar to my experience with my electricity provider.
At the time I did it there was a browser extension that mass deleted everything. But again, that was like 7 years or so ago.
I deleted all of my pictures and posts before I deleted my account. They probably still have all the data, but no one can see it.
See anything that could possibly be air ventilation or filtration, destroy it and seal it up.
