Neopets: The Darkest Faerie is a surprisingly good action RPG made by a dev team that wanted to push the Neopets franchise into more of a "young adult" territory.
Yea you got it pretty much right.
Player Core is the newest edition remastered book for the basic rules of playing the game.
Player Core Pocket Edition is the same, but much smaller and paperback. It's handy as a reference, but honestly the print is too small to read comfortably.
Player Core 2 is basically an expansion, in the same way that Monster Core 2 is an expansion on Monster Core. Notably it features new ancestries, heritages, backgrounds, classes, spells and items.
The Core Rulebook came out before the remaster. The rules are basically the same, but some things are simpler post-remaster and there's a few different options they added/removed between the Core Rulebook and Player Core. It's all 2nd edition, but this would be considered "legacy" content.
Their house was burned down a couple months ago after the neighbors had been threatening to burn their house down and calling them slurs since they moved in. Then they came to check their mail and found their dog's (missing since the fire) skull and harness on display. They were grieving this in front of their burned property when the neighbor came out, shouted slurs, and shot him.
This was a series of hate crimes that resulted in a man's death.
+1 big fan of the content here.
But wild cards are always vulnerable.
Legit I often drop down to 0.5x on my last hand of a run just to see it happen and understand why.
This would be pretty nice in that situation.
NGL ive had some really good runs with obelisk. If you use flush early game, you can transition really smoothly to high card/pair/two-pair and ride obelisk out for a long time
Y'all could have saved me the clicks if I had checked here first. I just went through this same thought process
