I didn't buy my Xbox One; my partner did when she was still with her ex. He made her get it on release day. It still works perfectly fine, and I'm very happy with it :)

Also true. And there are plenty of worthwhile/educational things to be found on the apps that can help a bit more than they harm. But yeah, it being a symptom is spot on.
I some times feel a bit alone on lemmy solely because I'm not as tech inclined as a lot of the userbase, but it's reminders like this that make me feel a bit ok about it.

Addendum: one does not need to experience gender dysphoria to be transgender/anywhere outside the gender binary. Cisgender people can experience it too, like if you look in the mirror and feel that your body doesn't match your gender as much as you internally feel it should

Every time I start to listen and learn from people more left than I am, they get to the part about how after revolution there's probably going to be a period of autocratic rule that should then dissolve by the will of the people. Except none of them talk about plans to actually facilitate the transfer of power, or better yet, prove Lenin wrong by not going thru a period of more authoritarianism.
