I think the idea of mass rapes in modern war from now on are just not going to be true (not that we should dismiss the claims but hear me out). Maybe I’m an optimist, but just think about how surveilled the modern battlefield is today. Think about how many drones there are. How exactly are you supposed to rape someone and not be found out? Maybe isolated incidents sure, but this goes back to the beheaded babies thing, that’s a big claim you better have some big evidence to back it up, and I’m just not convinced that evidence will ever come up.
