You’ll see a lot of that stuff still exist imho. Pretty much in the same way you commission the gay furry porn. Someone wants it and someone else has the skill to make it so it exists. Maybe you won’t exchange money, maybe you will who knows. The point being when people are liberated from their conditions they have more time for their personal goals which would include artistic pursuits. I couldn’t imagine people not modifying their shoes to fit better or making plushies in their spare time.

He actually wasn’t the hero he died in prison for believing in the communist ideal too much and overshadowing the Soviet leadership by being a well known war hero. Everything after that was Mason’s delusion.

The intended message of the Soviet campaign for world at war was supposed to show the player the brutality of the Soviet army in its vengeful campaign against the Germans. There is a moral mechanic that isn’t present in the American campaign at all where certain decisions affect the ending of the Soviet campaign. Things like executing surrendering Germans is a bad decision and will give you the evil ending for example.

The obvious problem with this is killing Nazis is cool and good so it kinda flys over your head as the player and the message is kinda lost. It also didn’t help that they made Reznov easily one of the most memorable characters in the entire cod franchise.

It probably started around the cod 4 timeframe. Every game after modern warfare 1 was very pro America and when the Russians were depicted they were shown as vengeful (understandable from our perspective but you can tell the message was intended to be a negative one) or as villains. Also cod 5 (World at War) specifically was about the Marine raiders, the Special Operations component of the marine corps. They were disbanded after WW2 but were revived around the time of World at Wars release (within a couple years) so it was pretty obviously propaganda to join the marines.

Rising storm Vietnam does this kinda with spider holes and tunnels when you play as the Vietnamese. It’s made by an overtly chud company though so it is what it is

It’s actually kinda fucked because I remember playing this game and thinking it was pretty good. If the US actually put AAA type money and time into a game it would beat COD in sales. Thankfully they don’t and keep pumping out Slava Ukraini trash and regular cod games which are being regarded more and more as trash.

Not the person you responded to, but YouTube has a ton of ex Special operations guys talking about their experiences. One navy seal I watched talked about his experience staring into the eyes of absolute evil. Since he referred to this enemy combatant as evil you would imagine it must be some hardcore insurgent veteran with years of combat experience right? Nope, it’s a 14 year old kid.

AES countries have made mistakes obviously, but the things they got right were genuine advancements in the human condition involving science, mathematics, literature, art, politics, healthcare etc and to not speak positively about it is to rob people of a piece of their humanity in my opinion. It should not be a bad thing to recognize that.

This is personally for Zelensky to put into a duffel bag to go with his cocaine bag.

Horrible posture while standing is the Hapsburg chin of our time.

This is the type of thinking that is the antithesis to my very being. I always told myself that I was overreacting thinking these kinds of people actually existed. It makes me so sad to see someone claim it so proudly.

I wouldn’t even call it bad taste, it almost seems like the lack of any taste at all.
