Even the simple stuff is fun.

This month, I decided to take on a rather long tour, and wouldn't you know it my tire got punctured. In my eagerness to plan for everything I never experienced, on this tour I completely forgot to pack anything to help with that.

After reaching the nearest town with a completely flat tire, asking random people got me to the local odd job man: an old grandpa who opened the door without his shirt. After explaining my problem, he asked me to push my bike to the other side of the house. There was a garage filled with loose parts stacked on high, and among them he picked out just what I needed.

I waved him good bye just a few minutes later, and all it cost me was a new mandatory stop in the area,

But why does the distinction between "real-world adult material" and "creative, non-realistic", "artistic, animated works" that "do no harm" matter? Last time I checked, realistic adult material can be just as artistic, and the harm done by negligently letting children watch it seems comparable.

Are they in favour of age verification for "uncreative, realistic" pornography, or is the real distinction just between real-life and online?

Aber diese Serie zu alternativen Fahrrad technologie ist auch nett. Neben diesem Stirlingmotor war auch ein Dronenmotor, Luftdruckmotor und magnetische Kuplung interessant.

Also schiebt man es auf die Wohnungen, die Bürgergeldempfänger leben einfach zu gut. Bei ~420€ Kaltmiete in meinem Landkreis. Davon gibt es villeicht 3 Wohnungen pro Jahr, die man sich leisten kann. Ein Glück ist die CDU für den Bau von Sozialwohnungen bekannt.

Keine Ahnung über den anderen Kram, meine Vorgesetzten habe ich eventuell einmal gesehen und seitdem duzt man sich in E-mails.

Was aber "Schön, dass Sie hier sind" angeht: Das ist eine nichtssagende Floskel, ja. Genauso wie "Hallo", was ja auch nur aussagt, dass man sich gesehen und wiedererkannt hat. Als ob das durch Blickkontakt und daruffolgendes Lächeln nicht schon klar wäre. Oder "Tschüss", ist ja im Grunde auch Zeitverschwendung, geh einfach weg wenn man nichts mehr zu sagen hat (tue das nicht, war ein Scherz, hat seinen Sinn). Floskeln sind halt mehr als nur die gesprochenen Wörter.

"Schön, dass Sie hier sind" soll einfach die Stimmung des Meetings vorgeben, als Gegensatz zu einem "Wir müssen Reden".

Natürlich hat Tom Scott ein 5 minuten Einführvideo über das Thema in Englisch, wenn man will.

That's it, as fun as it is to speculate, I think I'll reserve my judgement until after this has gone to court.
