I'm sorry, but that's simply wrong. JD Vance will not be able to hold onto power like Trump can. He's a charisma black hole who was chosen because he was weak, just like Mike Johnson was chosen for speaker. Trump is not normal; he's much better at beating his competition and consolidating power than people give him credit for. Just like many dictators who similarly consolidated power around their personality cult, his coalition will fall apart shortly after his death.

Billionaires are far more replaceable in comparison, as they're mostly members of a powerful class. Killing them would be an act of terror that could drive their behavior, not a meaningful change in how things work

The activist class doesn't ridicule conservative men as a whole.

They ridicule men as a whole, and ignore that the crises facing men are not imagined nor hyperbole

Just because so many men believe this doesn't make it true. I've had to hang out with men who believed similar things, and in my experience they had never actually met these activists they fear. Even when there are women who think that poorly of men, most of them aren't out there harassing random dudes. That sort of discourse is either targeted or terminally online.

The real failure of the left has always been offering salient narratives; catchy ideas that are convenient and empowering. Believing you're superior for the circumstances of your birth is easier than class consciousness. Accepting that certain arguments really did have no merit is harder than doubling down.

Men are treated like shit by conservative ideology; a belief system that leaves many of them behind completely and works every one of them to the bone for some mythical masculine glory. I have empathy for men, as they need to escape the conservative trap that'll chew them up and spit them out.

I don't know why you think that means we shouldn't ridicule conservative men as a whole. What counts for "conservative" now is actual fascism, not simply being bigoted or wanting deregulation. This is how MAGA "conservatives" themselves gatekeep things, so it's not like I'm painting with a broad brush.

If someone escapes the cult, I'm proud of them, but I'm not pulling punches on the tribe they used to be a part of.

Sounds to me like those men are realizing that conservatism doesn't deliver shit for them.

The one silver lining is that realizing Trump is a pedo is the only way MAGAts can understand their buyer's regret. They're really mad about the economy being actively ruined, but the only way that can understand it is through their conspiratorial lens. It's been well known that Trump was Epstein's bff this entire time, but only when Trump is not delivering for them do they actually care.

Liberals paying so much attention to this is annoying though. As I've pointed out before, Trump is actively legalizing torture of immigrant kids, while people here are worrying about the kids he hurt in the past. Of course we should make him pay, but we need to worry about his current murdering, looting, and pillaging a lot more.

Too bad you still have the equivalent of America's Democrats in charge who will very likely lose to your equivalent of America's psychos

I'd understand men, but conservative men? They aren't even an option unless they stop being conservative

Of course they aren't. It's not like I'm Jessica 🙄

ngl, killing Trump would probably be the better option. Just those three billionaires aren't as dangerous the dictator of a powerful empire.

It does suck compared to being content with our gender without any additional effort. Having to inject myself every week and be extra worried about not performing my gender is a pain. On top of that base level of fuckery, we need to deal with assholes who will do everything from torture to murder if we're born at the wrong place and time. It often feels like we're set up to fail and suffer; at least more than everyone else.

However, even though we never asked for this shit, we have no choice but to live our lives as best we can. Eggs use the fact that being trans sucks to not transition, even when transitioning will be way easier than living with dysphoria. Even if I get sent to a concentration camp in the near future as a result of transitioning, getting to live as myself for a few years was far better than a lifetime of how I was living before.

We can take our unique perspective as a consolation prize; being more critical of belief systems has helped me a ton.

edit: this is specifically about the US, hence the reference to the "liberal experiment" as it was once called. Yes, many other countries are not past the point of no return, but very few are not in grave danger.
