The ICC does not have the right to take diplomatic immunity away from leaders of recognized nations. That's not how this works.

People who think you can solve all problems by stating that you are in the moral right, instead of fighting for what you believe in, really show their true colors of being woefully ignorant to how history has always worked. This end of history neoliberal narrative has truly rotted peoples brains and made them unable to intellectually understand how to stand up for themselves.
Yeah this is the case for any revolution. I've been reading "The Constitution and other writings of the founding fathers" and it's interesting to see all the rhetoric and mental preparation they took before firing even the first shot. The tension was palpable and the colonists were already resolved to fight a war they knew would not end quickly. Most notably over things we just bend over and take nowadays.
The average citizen today does not have the same sense of responsibility and duty to preserving freedom and democracy like they did back then. Sometimes I wonder if people in the west are too soft in resolve and dedication to really revolt in any meaningful capacity, beyond a few days of protesting. No matter what the issue/ideology at hand is.
Same thing when people complain about how difficult it is to sign up for a Lemmy instance. You click sign up and fill out the form, if that's difficult for you I'm sorry you've never used your brain before. It's like Neo waking up from the Matrix.
I think US conservatives have a lot of ideological agreements with Russian society. Their views on women, traditional values, etc. Russia is even building a little village to invite US conservatives to move there. I think it's a recent post 2000~ phenomenon that they are aligning ideologically on the culture war stuff. So US conservatives don't see why they should attack and destroy a nation they see defending their values, like pro-religion and anti-lgbt views, and since Russia isn't "communist" anymore, they don't see many reasons to not like them now.
I'm of the position that anyone who moves to Phoenix is stupid and I'm not gonna feel bad for them for being the first victims of climate change you did this to yourself.
Among Truck drivers, Rams are usually the objectively worst vehicle for doing trucking activities on a per yearly model basis. So it kinda makes sense the dumbest people with trucks aren't the ones who know anything about truck capabilities either.
Subaru drivers, especially the SUVs almost follow the rules of the road TOO well, and also take 6 seconds to accelerate at a light for some reason.
Their devs have been having a hard time upgrading to the latest versions of lemmy as well, and as you probably know it's incredibly easy to sign up for an account on lemmy.world so the quality of comments and people is probably gonna be lower. I have an account on each instance, but yaknow it will take a while for everyone to figure out where they prefer to be.
That's correct. And you as a user of lemmy.ml, when you set your feed to 'ALL' it won't show posts or communities from those instances. But if your account is on lemmy.world, you would see them. You can also personally block any community you want. I don't think you can block certain instances on a personal level, could be wrong though.
It's almost like most socialists are actually good people who just want to make the world a better place and don't put profits above humanity. I hope Lula keeps up with his promises and continues to bring Brazil forward. The people there definitely deserve it.
It honestly depends on your local municipality. Where I live they don't take anything but straight up hard plastic that is cleaned, and clean cardboard, cleaned tin cans. Anything else they don't process. And even then they're probably throwing out the whole truck of recyclables cause one dingus didn't clean out a can and it got tomato soup on everything else. Recycling is honestly a scam in America, especially once China stopped buying our waste years ago.
