I don't like always online games.
Some years ago a friend asked me to play Diablo 3 together, so I bought it and tried it in singleplayer to get familiar with it, since that was the first time playing a Diablo game.
I got very hard lag - in a singleplayer session and lost the connection to the server several times.
It was such an awful experience that I couldn't bring myself to play it online anymore.
I love my Steam Deck and use it for smaller indie titles I can play for a short time through the week.
At the moment I play Flood of Light, which works pretty well despite being a game relying heavily on mouse controls.
And as a second: Super Panda Adventure. A surprisingly fun metroidvania.
Casette Beasts is next, already played about an hour, but I want to finish the others first.
Veloren looks really nice, never heard of it before.
I have several comfort games to put my mind at ease sometimes.
At least once a year it is Skyrim with mods to improve the scenery.
But I love playing the Atelier series too. Crafting and optimizing stuff in these games is great.
And then there are puzzle games like Baba is You where I often just close the game and think about solving the problems for a long time. Helps to keep your mind occupied.
Kingdom Hearts: I played the first for some time and watched some videos of the series, but I don't get the appeal. The character design is strange, the story does not hit me on an emotional level and the Disney characters... Just no.
Final Fantasy: Played 7 and X and just like Kingdom Hearts, it just did not hit me on any level. It is strange, because I love JRPGs like the Legend of Heroes series.
