starbucks one seems misplaced to me.
Tax Evasion, and kind of ignoring the union busting (though worth pointing out, is one of the few that there seems to be some movements to get it unionized).

So, Ozzy, LeFay... what's the 3rd coming now?
geezus, yeah that's the que that everyone should be getting off corporate run social media.
I understood the debate when trump was "When the looting starts the shooting starts", and they had generalized rules saying no calls for violence.
Do I dare ask where in facebooks terms of services they have a "don't be too socialist", and "must line up with "current national US interest".
For a social network to be actually treated serious, it should enforce the rules even handed, and make the rules clear.
I mean... does that mean there's a chance if I fall I'll get a 6' tall marble monument? That sounds so much easier than being crazy popular or succesful. Or is it just, the first per cliff, so I'd need to find a new less obvious cliff at the same park.
How desperate trump is right now for a distraction... I'm honestly I won't be supprised if the next distraction attempt will be a declaration to find and deport bigfoot.
Well yeah, not saying biden wasn't a breath of fresh air compared to trump... President has 2 main responsibilities, put competent people in charge of the important things... and don't humiliate the nation on camera or in front of other diplomats etc... and biden did one of those pretty darn well... and was considerably less bad than trump at the second. (though I'd hesitate to say he was better than, a random person off the street might be, just better than the petulant man child pedophile that beat him).
God damn the guy is an idiot... blaming a sleeping pill doesn't help at all, because he damn well knew when he'd be on the debate, either he used the pills regularly, and knew how they effected him, or he hadn't, and he was a complete dumbass trying out a new medication right before the most important public visit for his campaign.
I find it completely impossible to believe that before the democratic primary, that half of states didn't even bother letting happen, that advisors around biden could tell, that he was at diminished capacity at least 10% of the time... of which, no you can't be a good president and not be ready to be at 100% at any given moment.
from what I hear historically yes, but japan has basically been joining the rest of the world with it's practices.
IE old days of japan, were the common pitched story "worker/employee loyalty, 2 way street", and culturally both firing and quitting were looked at so negatively on either side that when an employee wasn't working out, there were 2 practices oidashibeya and madogiwazoku.
Madogiwazoku came first, and basically it was more or less "we have nothing for you anymore, but it's worse to fire you than have you on staff, have a comfortable room with a view and just sit around reading the newspaper for your shift.
Oidashibeya was the more hostile version of it. In short, it's we hate you, we want to fire you, but we can't do that, so we'll put you in the smallest most uncomfortable spot we can, with no assignments or options to do anything. Fingers crossed you'll chose to quit.
But like the rest of the world, companies stopped giving a crap, had more regular layoffs etc... and as a result employees stopped trusting it.
https://fortune.com/article/japan-work-ethic-declining-45-percent-of-workers-quiet-quitting/
It's certainly not the old historic days where, no one ever leaves their job, and employers wouldn't fire them even if they want to.
Jail probably not... however you will probably get a sternly worded letter from your ISP saying "We know you were torrenting (name of one show or movie you torrented"), This is your first warning.
In short, you won't go to jail, but your ISPs will usually give a few warnings, and then cut off your internet.
Could you imagine the confusion if you are used to it though... you've considered this scent to mean dead your whole life. would be kind of like as a human noticing your heart isn't beating, your skin is pale... realizing you are in a coffin and everyone's performing a service... hmm... guess I am dead. course I guess that's kind of the difference is humans aren't so accepting of things. we could be unable to move, realize we are looking from the perspective of our head, which is on the ground 2' away from the rest of our body and our first thought would be, "Hey can you hear me? Hello!!.
I mean you do hear it left and right among democratic politicians, strategists etc... blaming our losses on going too far in woke, or supporting trans too much. Like say Gavin Newsome who's clearly trying for a 2028 presidential run, and his first step was starting his show, bringing on Charlie Kirk, Steve Bannon etc... and looking for points of agreement, and the first one he chose was that "it's very unfair for trans women to compete in sports".
Well I mean bottom line is, it's a damned if he does damned if he doesn't situation.
She gets killed, that's insane fuel to the fire.
Trump pardons her... that's as good as admitting they are working together.
She actually tells what she knows, trumps fucked.
So... if you ask me based on a raw strategy... the DOJ is going to let the sweetheart deal appeal happen, and maxwell will comit perjury, say she happened to be in some of the places trump was, but never were that close and that trump always considered epstein a creep and kicked them out of marlago.
