I mean who could imagine Bill Clinton prioritizing a short term sexual gratification that might endanger the political career of himself or his wife.

IMO after epstein... she's almost certainly got a dead mans switch out there.

That is the one fear, especially considering... a now controlling amount of politicians can't accept basic facts... so we'd see questions like "is climate change real", "how old is the earth".

Also worth pointing out, WHY the test is so bad... 1. obviously not even well educated people today can agree on the meaning of a good portion of the questions.

but the biggest thing is, not everyone had to take them... IE the key point intention was "if a parent or grandparent has ever voted, you can skip this test". which is such a blatant giving away that they don't care of an individuals knowledge, they aren't actually worried if they can read, they were just keeping first generation voters from voting... at a time when in particular a specific subset of american's were in position to be first generation voters.

I'd second this interpretation... least based on my interpretation of "cross out THE NUMBER".

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I mean purely pedantic, I have no idea the original test writers... but based on how I read the words

The number (one singular number needs to be crossed out)

Below one million, IE number < 1,000,000

So my conclusion

~~1~~0000000000 < 1,000,000

Absolutely... in a world where the justice system is impartial and a consistent adherence to the law is judged rather than who appointed the judge.

That being said, I would say it's more practical to make unprovable claims, not provably false claims.

Honestly wish they had reported on all of them at the same time immidiately. Watch maga go I knew it was real... and... fake at the same time.

Honestly I think different there... she's not dumb, she's got killer contacts, and she knows what happened to Epstein. In her shoes. I'd have used whatever I can to rig up a dead mans switch, then put pressure onto trump to get her out of there.

Well... honestly in the older days when courts seemed like, a fair low bias group I'd have said of course it's a waste of time and money, like say when they drilled the fuck out of hillary for ages over benghazi.

I can't help but feel that if the benghazi hearings were held today... it wouldn't end the same way. The DOJ and half the seated judges have just lost all plausible "impartiality". I can't help but feel the decision will be made with complete lack of regard to the evidence, and the court system is just turning into a joke.

Well I mean bottom line is, it's a damned if he does damned if he doesn't situation.

She gets killed, that's insane fuel to the fire.

Trump pardons her... that's as good as admitting they are working together.

She actually tells what she knows, trumps fucked.

So... if you ask me based on a raw strategy... the DOJ is going to let the sweetheart deal appeal happen, and maxwell will comit perjury, say she happened to be in some of the places trump was, but never were that close and that trump always considered epstein a creep and kicked them out of marlago.

starbucks one seems misplaced to me.

Tax Evasion, and kind of ignoring the union busting (though worth pointing out, is one of the few that there seems to be some movements to get it unionized).
