Myths like this have always made me kinda angry. Anybody that has owned fish for more than a few days could easily say that this isn't true at all.

But aside from that - animals simply wouldn't exist if they were that stupid. The world is a dangerous place, especially underwater. Not having even basic memory and pattern recognition would be a one-way flight to extinction.

And also the large reason the Cons were polling so far in the lead is because of Trudeau fatigue.

Now that he's gone things have balanced out again.

Depends on by whom and how long. The US produces a lot of things but also imports a lot of critical goods and materials as well.

If Canada, Mexico, China, and the EU & UK all banded together for sanctions or embargoes? The US economy would be pushing daisies pretty quick. Especially if the actions were coordinated and did not give the US time to react and adjust.

But the countries issuing those actions wouldn't be in good shape either. Trade wars are a 2-way street.

This is why blaming conservatives or getting them to admit fault doesn't work. It only makes them become more defensive and entrenched.

A better approach is to appeal to their victim complex. IE: Instead of "Trump is ruining this country and its your fault for voting for him!" try "Dude, Trump is screwing us! This isn't the great America we were promised!" or some variation of that. Gotta use different tactics.

There are. Heaps of them.

The US is just a big place and very spread out. And the ruling government and its media conglomerates are trying to keep them out of the media.

The only two I have tried are IsThisCanadian? and Buy Beaver. The former is AI powered and often either entirely incorrect or gives contradicting information, and the latter is community-driven and is missing a lot of data on many products.

I mostly just use the Wikipedia app and quickly check the background info on companies as I encounter them, looking up their subsidiaries and such.

This is huge. If this grains traction it would be a substantial boost to our economy and our defense capabilities.

He doesn't actually care. Never has. He'd burn his own children at the stake if it meant getting a few more scraps of power.

Macron of France has really been doing a good job lately as well with pushing for Europe to become a new world superpower - both economically and militarily.

Good. If Canada wants to keep its northern land then it is going to have to take this more seriously. We live in a world full of thugs that see only weakness.

I hope to never see PP's stupid face again.

I hope so. Domestic production and consumption leads to a healthy economy which, as we've all learned in recent weeks, is a critical matter of security as well. Relying on another country for manufacturing may save on some costs but means that country has leverage on you.
