Not without bugs to patch.

1% of their valuation and they can keep the model built on the stolen works.

Don't forget the extra fees!

Grab a broad-market index fund with the lowest fees (e.g., VTSAX), set regular purchases, and move on with your life. Avoid insurance products that claim to be investments. Avoid anything with higher-than-minimum fees or load fees.

I think 1-2$ per drink is the recommendation because it's easier to remember than doing the math, and you're more likely to drop the cash and go rather than interacting with a busy bartender more. That said, if they're doing full service for you (food, checking in on you), you should probably tip normally, because they're acting as a server in that case.

Really makes you continue to question the decisions of Disney The Company.

I'm still trying to get the hang of that sort of fit. I saw it in a video about crush ribs but it didn't work when I tried it. Will keep at it until I figure it out, though.

Get a job. Work on designs in your spare time. Sell STLs or put them up MakerWorld for Boosts.

Then we start getting into philosophy on self and also how much machine assistance is allowed. If you can provide nutrition and oxygen to the brain, you could probably be a brain in a jar and still count.

It's not user friendly. If you're looking for something anywhere near intuitive as an iPod was, it's a long way away.

That said, it's mostly a firmware issue, so it can get there, but it needs a lot of work. I'm hopeful that it will be better in a few years.

Edit: To answer your question, it's a cool bit of tech, and it can play music, but it's of interest as a bit of tech and not as a music player.

If I'm on the desktop and type anything, a little input box appears at the bottom right. Doesn't seem to do anything. What is that?

Where would I ask a question about Mint Mobile? Just realized that texting myself doesn't actually go through as a text, which is weird, but don't know if there's a community I can use to ask about it.

Is there any way to pull in the workspace switcher for the panel from Xfce when using Cinnamon? That's basically the one thing that makes me want to switch back to Xfce. I like Cinnamon better in general, but being able to see and move applications via the workspace switcher in Xfce is a strong sell.

16 Max RAM (self.framework)

Is there any reason to think the 16 mainboard won't eventually support 256GB of RAM once 128GB SODIMMs are out?

I want to be able to control my thermostat from my phone, so I'm looking for recommendations for one that meets the following:

  • Works with no network access (as in, I can access it but it can't access anywhere else, enforced via VLAN on my firewall)
  • Lets me control my single apartment thermostat (temperature, heat/cool, maybe programming but it's okay if I have to do that on the unit directly)
  • Not hundreds of dollars
  • No microphone

Any thoughts? Really just want something simple.

Edit: I have no other smart home devices right now, if that matters.

Is there any way to get the Xfce workspace switcher on Cinnamon? I've got hot corners enabled right now to try to replace it, but it's definitely not as nice as being able to just drag applications across workspaces right in the switcher. Plus, having the application icons in the switcher makes it much easier to see at a glance what's going on in each workspace.

I have a bunch of equipment on my rack that has AC adapters as part of the cable. How do people manage those so that they're secured and out of the way?

I currently have a Lenovo ThinkPad P50, and it has separate buttons at the bottom of the trackpad, which I prefer to having to click the trackpad in the right place. I know the trackpads on Framework laptops are the latter type. How do people find them? Do they work well? Any issues with clicking or palm activation?

I've preordered the 16 and this won't turn me off it, but it's my main worry about it.

I wasn't sure where to ask this, so please feel free to direct me to a different community if there's a good one for this question.

Are there any US banks that allow their clients programmatic access to their own data? As far as I'm aware, that's not really a thing in the US, but I might be willing to switch banks if there are any that provide access.

Is there a way to change the behavior of a middle click on an application in the panel away from Close and instead to New Window/Instance? I keep trying to say open a new Firefox window and instead close my existing window.

Reddit had /r/jobsForNano - any chance of something similar here?
