I have a drive in each node to which I back up VMs, and I have SyncThing on each node keeping the backups in sync across all nodes. When one goes down, I can get the VMs back up on another node very quickly. (Have only had to do it once, but it worked beautifully.)

And this is exactly why I only expose public services, through two layers of reverse proxies and docker. Everything else is over VPN only.
Sounds like it's working correctly, then.

Also as a side note I hate how lots of places just assume you want to download their shitty spyware ridden apps or hand over your phone number or an email.

It strongly resists going up; I wasn't able to do it that way.

I really love Proton, but I'm only using Mail, VPN, and Calendar. I kept BitWarden - already had it for a bit before Pass came about.
