When I think of my former friend I grew up with that is permanently unable to get a girlfriend, he was cool as a friend. But he was a creep a bit to women, not respectful, resentful for not getting female attention, and it just grew and got worse - but I didn't see that side of him at all until I transitioned lmao, I guess it only came out to people he wanted to bang.

People do it now with stuff like Replika. Think of how they're treated. Perhaps in a society with lots of AI, embodied or not, people would care less. But it's definitely a little weird now especially with how limited AI is.

If some general human level is AI emerged like in Her, I'm sure people would fall in love with it. There's plenty of lonely people who are afraid or unable to meet people day to day. I think I'd see them with pity as they couldn't make do with human connection, at least until I understood how advanced and how much interiority this new AI had - then I'd probably be less judgemental.

Fucking second 1 AM, why I gotta do this TWICE

I'll spank you later

You're thinking of quaternions

Highly composite numbers are useful cause they have a lot of factors! That's why the Babylonians and us use 60 for minutes and seconds. It makes dividing really simple, how much is 2/5 of 60? Why it's 24 (no fractions) etc. Being a square number is just interesting. I bet quarternary would have funky repetitive fractions. Hilbert curves are just some space filling fractal thing, apparently they use quarternary at some point in analyzing or generating them.

Quartenary is kinda like how our DNA works I guess.

4 is a square number and highly composite (although it's right smack dab at the start of the number line so perhaps it's not that surprising).

Apparently quarternary has some uses in Hilbert curves, although how I dunno.

Perhaps the world they're from has 3 moons? New moons being 0.

A zen koan traditionally tries to shock the listener or reader out of traditional logic that leads to Samsara. The simpsons had a classic zen koan "what is the sound of one hand clapping" that was treated with some glibeness by just having Bart flap his hand to make the noise. Except that's probably what a zen master in a koan would've done too, lol, try to change perspective and escape the black iron prison of our traditional minds.

Scarlet Johansson is a surprisingly good actress, I think she got typecast because she's of course quite attractive. But she was really good in Asteroid City, Jojo Rabbit, Under the Skin (where doesn't even really talk). She had some stinkers too don't get me wrong, like the marvel crap or Lucy. She could've been a really good character actress but "tragically" she's really quite pretty so apparently got pigeonholed elsewhere

Renfield was pretty fun! Nic Cage was a treat. I remember seeing the trailers and had high expectations and it delivered. Not sure why it didn't break bigger on release.
