For some reason I had always thought the Berlin wall was the line between East and West Germany. Every time I heard it, from school or elsewhere, it was implied to be that way

It was only recently that I really checked and learned that Berlin was firmly in East Germany, and that the border was several hundred kilometers away. It very suddenly made sense after that as to why an armed enclave of one's self-declared sworn enemies would be encircled by a wall

This would be too on the nose as a caricature making fun of the average American.

I still can't believe they kept him on after the episode where he proudly spends the entire time watching sports and loudly commenting on it

Literally fire him and either have Devon step in full time or hire Gareth Dennis as third seat

Like it sounds kinda harsh but why would Starbucks care about your acting degree?

Because why the fuck wouldn't they? All you have to do is follow the training for like a week and then pour coffee

I'm her age and I was told growing up that it didn't always matter what your degree was, just that you had one. That the act of going to higher education was the important part, not the words on the paper. It's bullshit, of course, but 18 year old me wasn't immune to propaganda, and neither were most people

NOW WE ARE READY TO SAIL FOR THE HORN

WEIGH, HEY, ROLL AND GO

The three most commonly fielded aircraft in the US are the F-15, F-16, and F-18, and all of them are contemporaries of the Mig-29 and Su-27

One of the only near new 4th gen fighters in service is the Eurofighter Typhoon. Everyone fields predominately 80s era aircraft kept updated, with slow movement towards 5th gen

But yeah go off on how the F-16 could wack an Su-35 in combat

The Russian "equivalent of a honda" aircraft have seen their NATO equivalents like the F-14 and Harrier sold off to developing nations or retired.

Su-35, Mig-35, Mig-29, and Su-27 don't real I guess

Like what the fuck are you even talking about? The vast majority of Russian aircraft are equivalent to the vast majority of NATOid aircraft in service, calling them upgraded 3rd generation fighters is absurd

Over 80 along just Highway 16 in BC alone

The rural areas of Canada's north are abysmal for indigenous folks, women and girls especially. There's no cops to be found outside of bigger cities and even if they cared to come help, it's hours before they could even get there. There's a reason Canada tries to bury this shit, because if anyone knew how bad the governmental neglect was in rural areas, they would be appalled

I first remember Russia was out of ammo

I remember when Russia was out of ammo and fuel, stranded in a 60km convoy outside Kyiv, and Ukraine scored exactly zero hits on the convoy

If I remember right it actually did happen that the convoy ran dry on fuel for a few days and it should have been disastrous for them. The fact that they weren't eaten alive by Ukranian Su-25s should've been the wakeup call for libs

Every liberal I've interacted with who believes in imperialism as a concept believes imperialism/colonialism is when Governments Do Things in other countries than their own

us to get along and treat each other as humans

This begins with acknowledging that some people don't fit into a neat binary category, if they even identify with the spectrum at all

The point isn't to form cliques, the point is acceptance. If one claims to support trans rights, but then misgenders that person and refuses to acknowledge how they would like to be referred, then one is not supportive of trans rights

Be better

These types of chuds are always funny but always make me nervous

Like I know the neck knife and the open carry he's probably got going on are posturing, I get it

But I always feel like the kind of people who do this absolutely would immediately escalate to deadly force in any minor disagreement. I'm thinking of that white chud in Florida who killed a black man because they had an argument over a parking spot and the cracker got lightly shoved

Maybe this is insensitive, but being misgendered on an anon online forum, open to the public, is not a big deal

To people who have spent their entire life being misgendered, it is

A single moment of positivity can outshine half a dozen moments of negativity
