Using a pistol is probably more a function of gun length while indoors. You are less maneuverable if you have to fit a rifle through a doorway, for example

My two most recent ones were from Etymotic and Noble. Admittedly they got a lot more use than my Samsung Bluetooth buds
My wife says it's a sort of planned obsolescence thing, wherein they can force you to buy new ones every few years due to battery degradation.
My $100 wired buds always went bad in a year. My BT have been much more reliable and long lasting
I was always against wireless headphones and never listened to music in the gym. Then I went to a gym with shitty music that I needed to block, and my opinion changed. I don't notice much of a difference in sound quality, and I bought decent (but still cheap) wired buds
