Most people view it as a rule of law thing. If you are here beyond your visa there are rules that say you should be deported. That has been ignored or dodged for a long time and we've built up a large number of illegal aliens that shouldn't be here. If we had enforcement all along it wouldn't be near as much of an issue as it is now.

I also understand that there needs to be actual due process for this and it's being bypassed for the majority of deportations now. It's a massive issue leading to things like those on court ordered deferments being taken illegally like Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

A food strike? Honestly if you don't just stay in bed all day you'll just need to move those things you need to other days so they won't see any impact. It's not like they look at daily profits. They look at quarters. Are you going to not buy food for 3 months? Are you going to just not pay rent for 3 months and get evicted?
