I always try to figure out if one of the comics has undeniable proof that Hobbes exists and isn't imaginary. Like what does this scene look like with Calvin all by himself? I thought for sure this was going to be a smoking gun because how is he going to take a Polaroid of himself with both hands in the picture.
Well after looking at 1980s Polaroid cameras, most of them seem to have a self-timer. The Polaroid Spectra from 1986 has a self-timer and it's hard to see exactly what Hobbes is holding, but it's close enough to this.
Edit: Hobbs corrected to Hobbes.
The controlled detached from the screen looks comical.
Usually they don't have more money than they know what to do with, what money have have gets funnelled into their addiction, the rest becomes debt.
Correct, that's why the mosquito can't find blood with his stick despite standing on a human.
Is DSL not available in rural areas? That still uses the phone line and should be significantly faster. I don't understand how people can still even use dial up, can a 56k modem load most websites in a reasonable time frame? I should try throttling my connection and seeing if it's viable.
I wonder if there was a fad for dowsing rods at the time this was made or if they were common knowledge enough for this joke to work.
It doesn't work outside of KDE?
Damn, RPGs peaked in the 80s for you. What did these games do right that nothing has done better since?
Out of curiosity, what are some games that you consider contenders for greatest RPG?
How is it better than a steam deck?
I was hoping Janice would get the role of fancy mom cat.
