Section 3 of the amendment bars “officers of the Unites States” who took an “oath … to support the Constitution of the United States” and then “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” from holding federal or state office again. Wallace found that while Trump “incited an insurrection … and therefore ‘engaged’ in an insurrection,” the 14th Amendment “does not apply to Trump” because he is not an “officer” of the United States.

nerd ummm ackshually he's not an officer shapiro-gavel

shrug-outta-hecks i'm just saying why rome gets memed. i didn't say the reasons were good

The Polynesians are the true civilization carriers of all of humanity, they colonize far off islands and shit peacefully, eat all kinds of fruit, fought giant birds, had the lowest working hours in history, I mean read some of the accounts they had of early Hawaii, shit was so efficient they got done working by noon and surfed all day, that is success and agriculturalists were suffering all day.

yeah but you don't get memed by relaxing and leaving everyone alone. you get memed by being messy and loving drama, like rome.

Rome was in the bible. Rome executed Jesus and then became a Christian state. Rome took over the entire Mediterranean. That's why they're memed so hard.

Imagine if this was a country today:

the norms demarcating gender are so arbitrary

Pink was considered a masculine color in settler-colonial North Amerikkka until the late 1800s. And all the presidents before Truman all wore dresses until they were toddlers in a socialized process called breeching where boys wouldn't wear male-gendered clothing until they were potty-trained and able to walk and talk.
