This. At my spouse's job, they're kept so absurdly busy that there isn't a single day they don't have tasks leftover in their queue when they close up and go home after a 10 hr shift. Meanwhile there were managers who just talk all day and shop online.

  1. No. It's bad. They're awful voice actors, and far fewer lines are actually recorded in that version.

  2. It's in the options menu of Final Cut to turn the Old Voices back on (I forget how, but it's there) so there's no reason to buy a different version of the game.

Freelancing gives me mixed feelings, regardless of platform. I've done small bits of freelance work here and there. It's definitely nice to have the freedom to tell a boss (client) to fuck off or say "no" to a job that's shit. But at the same time it's inherently atomizing and not prone to unionization or other forms of collective action. Freelancers typically have petit bourgeois crab bucket mindset and are not prone to banding together for any kind of social justice, even higher remuneration. They tend to under-bid each other in the hopes of getting more contracts, driving average bids down to the lowest possible amount that one can survive off of.

Well the whole reason he FOIA'd himself was because DHS knocked on his door and tried to question him about his video titled "The CIA is a terrorist organization." And for a few weeks after it came out users said they had to log in and click through 5 age warnings to watch it even though it didn't really have any adult content.

Yeah none of us are getting our doors knocked on (yet) because we don't have huge audiences, I'm just saying; they are collecting info about anyone who speaks against American hegemony, even in relatively obscure corners like this.
