the entire pretense of US military strategy is to maintain so many layers of unrivaled superiority over the enemy, that the pea at the bottom of the princess's stack of mattresses must be presented as the biggest threat to the princess's vertebrae of all time

it would be even funnier if US ships sank each other in the red sea out of paranoia about ansarollah ("houthis") like that cop who got scared of an acorn and shot his own vehicle.

Ben Norton from Geopolitical Economy Report talks about how the EU is becoming a vassal to the US by de-industrializing itself, and how the US, in order to stabilize inflation is "creating jobs" by reindustrializing in the military sector. So it seems to me that the entire US-led contrivance of expanding NATO eastward past Russia's "red lines" (which began under Bush in 2008 to the chagrin of France and other NATO members) was always a deliberate effort to destabilize eastern Europe, and create more wars to profit from. Of course liberals will never absorb this information and will see everything in terms of the US being some kind of global forecfield protecting democracy from some vague illiberal "authoritarian despotism" and various brown/yellow perils they've dreamed up.

it's frustrating knowing that we could all just end this tomorrow if we weren't disorganized, indoctrinated, and alienated from one another.

I've known this for years. I still put it in the recycle bin for some reason. a compulsive behavior that i don't really believe in which nevertheless brings me comfort. almost religious. there was a cracked video that made fun of this a while back.

the imperial core even outsources its waste so it can blame the periphery for being more wasteful.

and this is on top of outsourcing production to places like China, and then blaming them for carbon emissions. Like Vijay Prashad said, "try to produce it in your own countries, and see your carbon emissions rise."

i'm mixed race, but it's been a couple of generations, so i pass as white, and i grew up around black people, and i was taught to speak in "white" coded ways in order to "sound educated," get a job more easily, avoid discrimination, etc. etc. so in a way i'm the yang to the yin of people like this. even when I'm around black people i don't code switch back to AAVE because it doesn't feel natural to me even though i've been exposed to it my whole life. to do so would make me feel like the one lightskinned mix person trying to play up how black they are, and it comes off as cringe. I mostly try to listen more than I speak, in person, even though in text i ramble.

They're basically Italy 2, more conservative than the rest of "western" Europe

a certain mister Winston Churchill made sure of that towards the end of WW2
