You're supposed to unplug the lamp first.

They've had a history of controversy over their life, ranging from replacing ads with their own affiliate links to bundling an opt-out crypto miner. Every time something like this happened, the CEO went on a marketing campaign across social media, effectively drowning out the controversial story with an influx of new users. The CEO meanwhile has got in trouble for his comments on same-sex marriage and covid-19.

In general, it's always seemed like it would take a very small sack of money for Brave to sell out its users. Also, their browser is Chromium based, so it's still contributing to Google's market dominance and dictatorial position over web technologies.

It's completely insane that rent is more than a mortgage.

If you live with someone and pay towards their mortgage, you can rightfully claim a share in the equity of their house. Yet, if you rent somewhere and pay your landlord's entire mortgage, and then some, you get nothing.

Renting should be far less than mortgage rates. You get something out of a mortgage - ownership of a property.

It didn't have a lot of hype? I didn't see much in the way of advertising, sure, but there certainly was a lot of hype from people about it being pokemon with guns.

I agree that it's not a Pokemon game, though, the gameplay is completely different. It's also early access so things are going to develop over time. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm interested in seeing what it turns into.

Even still, surely the laws preventing them from refusing to invest in coal and other fossil fuels are uncosntitutional?

I think there has always been a vague yet unproven theory about it, that males generally developed to be bigger because they were more commonly in hunting roles. The kind of thing a teacher might say in high school but not really back up with anything. This could only really apply to mammals, though - in other species, eg often with birds, females are bigger. However the reason behind the size difference probably has a lot more involved in it than simply which sex did more hunting.

I dunno, after the article started talking about TV shows I think they lost the benefit of the doubt.

I wonder if part of the reason Western nations are "struggling" to use the funds in Ukraine is that this would reduce the need for Ukraine to accept bilateral aid from them.

Pistol shooting practice is typically done at no more than 25 yards, while hunting rifles can more comfortably do a longer range. Sure, you can hit with a pistol at similar ranges (especially with a larger caliber as you propose) but rifles are better for controlling the recoil and typically more accurate. If the goal is to actually hit, and in particular kill painlessly, a rifle is the better tool.

I wanted to downvote you for saying you were emulating Jordan Peterson, but I don't think you actually did that. What you've said is well reasoned and grounded in facts.

You can’t evacuate people. I mean, you can if you want, but that's not what you want to say here.

A building can be evacuated. To evacuate a person is to give that person an enema.
